Phobias & Fears

Confronting phobias head on can be tough, so let's do it together.

Everyone tries to avoid things that make them uncomfortable. Many people don’t like spiders, dogs or needles but they can still go to the Dentist or can be near a dog and it doesn’t interfere with their daily life but sometimes you may have a fear of something that is out of proportion, persistent and excessive.

You may want to fly away on holiday, but you avoid airplanes or you may need a medical procedure. A visit to the park may cause anxiety for fear of dogs. You may worry around social situations and avoid speaking in front of other people or in some cases you may stop socialising and carrying out everyday tasks.

This fear can affect your work, school or personal relationships making you feel very anxious and depressed. This fear is known as a Phobia.

Many phobias exist in our inner mind and are learned responses.

Hypnotherapy can help you unlearn the fear response, build up your exposure to the phobia in a safe way and in time ease the anxiety so you can be relaxed and calm when next faced with your phobia.
